Assistant Director of Nursing - Full-time

Responsibilities:

As Assistant Director of Nursing Services, you’ll assist in planning, organizing, and directing the overall operation of our Nursing Service Department in accordance with resident needs, government regulations and our internal policies and procedures to ensure the highest degree of quality care. In the absence of the Director of Nursing, this position assumes his/her responsibilities and assists with supervision, management and development of staff and in the fiscal management of the department. Additionally you will assist in the development of preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the nursing needs of each resident, as well as developing methods for coordination of nursing services with other resident services to ensure the continuity of the residents’ total care regimen.

Qualifications:

Position requirements include:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a RN shift supervisor with a strong geriatric background.
• Knowledgeable in rehabilitative and restorative nursing practices.
• Possess a current, unencumbered, active license to practice as a Registered Nurse in this state and a CPR certificate.
• Must be a strong team player with proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Excellent verbal/written English communication skills are required.
• Must meet all health requirements, including TB, and pass background checks.
