Spartan is currently hiring experienced Robotic Welders in the Greenville, South Carolina area for a major national retailer. Job Description · Operates conventional Robotic Weld Cell to fabricate metallic parts or assemblies · Apply basic knowledge of welding theory and procedures and basic mathematics · Selects, aligns, and secures holding fixtures, attachments, accessories, and materials on welding machines or worktables as required. · Calculate and set controls to regulate machine factors, such as wire feed speed, amperage, polarity, type of gas, and type of weld rod. · Operates and observes robot to detect malfunctions or non-conforming conditions. · Operates welding robot on trial run to verify accuracy of machine settings or programmed control data · Fits and assembles parts into complete assembly, using jigs, fixtures, surface plate, surface table, and hand tools. · Verifies conformance of finished work piece to specifications · Visually inspects to maintain quality records with minimum supervision. · Maintains accurate counts of parts; attaches labels or tags to finished part containers identifying customer, part number, quantity, and shop order information. · Communicates with co-workers and supervisor to receive instructions and coordinate job activities. · Follows all safety procedures and wears safety equipment or apparel as required. · Performs all job functions to meet acceptable quality and performance standards. · Cleans equipment, tooling and area around workstation on a daily basis.
