Diesel Mechanic Summary: Repair and inspect company equipment in a safe, timely, cost effective and practical manner. Diesel Mechanic Shift: Diesel Mechanic Responsibilities: Routine and preventative maintenance. Build, rebuild and repair all parts of automotive equipment, as may be required in the department assigned to. Diagnose any mechanical, electrical, other breakdown or failure. Troubleshoot and perform failure analysis of the components parts and systems. Engine repair and overhaul. Inspect equipment used Read precision instruments. Micrometers, dial indicators, bored gauges, etc. When applicable use welding skills. Other duties may be assigned Job Requirements Qualified Candidates For The Position Will Have Met The Following: Required: Equivalent of a high school diploma or GED & X year of related equipment maintenance and repair; OR X years of related equipment maintenance and repair.
