The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Senior Test Engineer for our System Integration and Test Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.

Essential Job Functions:

The Senior Test Engineer will be responsible for executing, and reporting on automated and manual web application/portal testing. Specifically, their efforts will be directed towards the testing of TWC Web portals for external customers and internally utilized web based applications.The Senior Test Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and executing quality test processes, test strategies, test plans and test cases that verify software conformance to acceptance criteria and feature design documents for small to complex projects. As a leader within a highly collaborative Agile team, the Senior Test Engineer will provide mentoring and advice to other team members. This candidate will accurately & concisely report progress on goals on an as requested basis. The Engineer possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

1. Maintain test artifacts and archives.

2. Analyze, document, and develop test cases for either manual or automated execution

3. Utilize, maintain and improve test execution and tracking technology and systems

4. Report on automated and manual testing efforts and results

5. Execute and oversee execution of manual and automated test suites against services and products developed to ensure that they meet the highest quality standards and are stable for future planned deployments.

6. Provide succinct and accurate documentation of issues.

7. Other tasks and duties as assigned, relating to system integration and testing of new or existing services and products.

Job Requirements:

Working within an Agile development team(s), the Senior Test Analyst is responsible for developing and continually refining the test strategy, plans, processes and standards, covering functional and non‐functional testing, both manual and automated. Given this, the Senior Test Analyst will:

- Align with leadership goals; actively and positively contribute to the goals of direct leaders and Time Warner Cable.

- Document and implement test strategies, plans, processes and standards

- Support and when appropriate help to maintain the test automation framework

- Ensure that appropriate testing tools are selected and applied optimally

- Review the architecture and designs of systems and features, and actively engage with Business Analysts and Developers/Engineers to ensure the soundness of proposed solutions

- Create and maintain configuration notes for the testing environments, both functional and non‐functional (e.g. performance testing) environments.

- Actively participate in Sprint Planning and Retrospectives, ensuring the voice, recommendations and concerns of the test team is professionally and purposefully represented.

- Lead, guide and mentor other test engineers

- Provide recommendations to application stakeholders and leadership teams on fitness of releases for production deployments and/or UAT handoffs

- Support UAT activities where requested and appropriate

- Knowledge and experience of web design technologies including: JavaScript, RoR, JQuery, etc.

- Knowledge and experience testing web applications including REST and SOAP interfaces

- Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:

- Knowledge of the HP Suite of Tools is required

- Selenium and Jenkins is a plus

- Working knowledge of Jira Agile is required

- Perforce, Jira, Confluence, Crowd HP quality experience is a plus

- Cable industry experience is a plus

- Experience testing customer facing web portals is required

- Experience working with an Agile development team is required

- Experience with cable billing systems is a plus

Education and Experience:

Bachelor ' s degree (B.A. or B.S.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience.

Supervisory/Managerial Responsibilities:

Lead: Assigns, trains, schedules or oversees work of others.

Travel Requirements:

Travel 5 %
