Job Description:
The Sales Consultant is responsible for meeting sales performance targets, complying with all business policies/procedures, and complying with regulatory requirements applicable to the energy industry and telemarketing. Acts as the primary in-house expert on all sales activities including: outbound calling campaigns, inbound customer retention, and system updates. The primary responsibility is to sell Energy services to current and potential customers via telephone (telemarketing).

Primary Responsibilities:
-Contact current/potential customers via outbound telephone calls, both manually and via dialer, and attempt to enroll/correct account information to achieve specific business objectives
-Utilize, maintain, and continuously improve various sales/communication techniques, knowledge of Energy brand products, services, rates/terms, and promotions
-Utilize a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database and all associated enterprise systems
-Meet and main sales objectives
-Meet and maintain call quality standards
-Meet and maintain outbound calling campaign performance objectives
-Demonstrate and ensure adherence to all Energy and department policies/standards

Work Environment:
Call center environment. Business casual dress code.

Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED or higher
-Minimum of one year of inbound/outbound sales in a call center environment
-Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

Performance Expectations:
During training candidates are measured on "progress checks" that determine where they are with the material that has been taught to them. They are also analyzed to see what their demeanor is like during training and how they interact with the trainers.

Once out of training in this role the new hires will be measured on the number of sales made during the week. The baseline is 50 for a representative to be doing "satisfactorily".

Base hourly rate is $10.00/hour. Commission is based off of hourly pay rates for certain sales thresholds. Below is a breakdown.

0-29 Sales - No bump in hourly pay rate.
30 - 39 Sales - $11.50/hour
40 - 49 Sales - $12.50/hour
50 - 59 Sales - $13.50/hour
60 - 69 Sales - $14.50/hour
70 - 79 Sales - $15.50/hour
80 - 89 Sales - $16.50/hour
