As a Database Architect/Developer  with one of the largest and fastest growing health information companies, you will be a part of a high performing, dynamic team with a passion for delivering superior quality.  In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

 


  • Design data architectures

  • Develop strategies for archive recovery and data base implementations

  • Design databases, data warehouses and multidimensional databases

  • Develop complex stored procedures, views and functions on MS SQL Server (2008 and 2012), utilizing strong TSQL experience

  • Create queries, index, statistics, execution plans and DB I/O performance tuning

  • Identify weaknesses in T-SQL Code and then improving those weaknesses for future releases

  • Utilize Business Intelligence Development Studio (BIDS) to create and run SSIS packages and in generating models for reports with SSRS.

  • Utilize software development principles and experience developing within the full life-cycle of a software product

  • Analyze data requirements for business applications, develop data models and planning data migration/conversion strategies for internal and externally hosted applications.

  • Uphold enterprise policy guidelines and recommend new/improved guidelines

  • Partner with project teams and interact with customers to find solutions for projects and operational issues for existing and proposed databases

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform in all of the basic database management skills of database administration, physical structure, overall architecture, and database analysis

  • Provide standardization and consistency across environments

  • Apply database management consulting skills and gathers user requirements

  • Implement and monitor database functionality to ensure stable environments

  • Identify and initiate resolutions to user problems and concerns associated with database server equipment (hardware and software)

Requirements


  • 5+ years' SQL Server database experience

  • 5+ years' data modeling (both logical and physical)

  • 3+ years' of relational database architecture experience

  • Experience with SSIS and SSRS or equivalent products

 


Assets:



  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with Data Warehouses and/or Data Marts

  • Database Administration experience

  • 5+ years of PSQL stored procedures development experience

  • SQL certification

  • C# experience

  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Access)

  • Intermediate proficiency with MS Visio

  • Previous Lead experience

  • Healthcare Industry experience
