• Responsible for achieving the standard production rates on folding equipment
• Occasionally, may functionally supervise a crew of one or two team members
• Responsible for maintaining or exceeding all quality standards
• Maintains strict adherence to all operational, safety, and quality procedures
• Enters all production data into the Monarch data collection system including the start and end time of the task assigned, the quality of production produced, etc. as required by the Bindery Supervisor
• Maintains a clean, orderly, and safe work area. Cleans work area before moving to the next task.
• Responsible for performing routine maintenance as specified by the folder manufacturer
• Responsible for troubleshooting and making simple repairs to the folder as necessary
• Provides training to other team members as requested by the Bindery Supervisor
• Performs other tasks as requested by the Bindery Supervisor

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must have leadership skills and ability to lead a crew of one or two team members
• Must be able to use a variety of motor skills including pushing and pulling, bending, twisting, fine manual dexterity, acute vision, etc.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time
• Must be able to work 12 hour shifts
• Must be able to read and understand simple technical instructions in English
• Must be capable of following written and oral instructions
• Must have excellent written/verbal communication skills

Desired Requirements

• Two years of set-up and operating experience on continuous-feed and pile-feed folders
• 2 year technical degree
• Supervisory experience
