Game & Bowling Host - Full-time / Part-time

The Bowling Center Host creates the first impression of the unique entertainment experience that bowling provides for our Guests.  They assist the Guest in making the correct value selection for their group, encourage them to rent bowling shoes, inform them of the food and beverage offerings and service offered on each lane, and do this in a timely, efficient and friendly manner.

Specific Responsibilities

• Creates the ultimate bowling entertainment experience for our Guests in suggestions for how they best can enjoy our facility.
• Suggests the best bowling value for the Guest / group of Guests.
• Processes the lane rental in a quick, efficient manner.
• Suggests shoe rental and promotes retail sales of socks, towels, etc.
• Maintains the hygiene of all bowling shoes.
• Efficiently activates the lanes through the Bowling POS system.
• Keeps the Bowling Center counter area clean, neat and organized.
• Handles money and makes change in a quick and accurate manner.
• Is responsible for general cleanliness of the facility entrance including, but not limited to, using a pan and broom to clean debris, cleaning drinks and/or food spills, and cleaning windows.
• Is proactive in offering assistance to Guests who need it, and remains with the Guest until the problem is resolved.
• Has a working knowledge of the food, beverage, and lounge menus to make suggestions for the restaurant and bar areas.
• Has a working knowledge of the Retail merchandise.
• Has the ability to handle Guest dissatisfaction using empowerment and answers Guest questions.
• Has above average concern for cleanliness and hygiene; both personal and professional.
• Always gives “I’ll be back” service to our Guests.

MISCELLANEOUS DUTIES

• Completes throughout your shift all assigned side work and any special cleaning assignments.
• Sweeps or vacuums all major traffic areas.
• Keeps trashcans clean and entrance area free of debris.
• During certain times, it may be necessary for you to perform other area duties.  Be sure that you read and understand the responsibilities that you will be required to perform.
