Responsible for accessioning requisitions, labeling patient specimens, and assisting with technical procedures; Receive patient specimens from FedEx delivery and couriers; Store patient samples in coolers or refrigerators; Affix patient-specific bar-coded labels to request slip, specimens, and testing tubes; Place samples in racks for testing; Prepare aliquots of patient specimens for internal testing, shipment to external collaborators, and long-term storage; Enter patient demographic data, verify request slip accuracy, and photocopy request slips; Organize specimens by accession number after testing is completed;
