About this job

The Regional Marketing Coordinator coordinates and implements marketing communication projects with responsibilities that include public relations, special events management, advertising and creating brand awareness. This position organizes the preparation of proposals and presentations using marketing resource materials such as brochures, data, slides, photographs, and reports. Other duties include developing marketing plans, managing vendor contracts and relationships.

This position is responsible for maintaining direct, face-to-face contact with partners, and increasing Sprouts’ exposure on the ground with regular strategic community activity. Job activities are geared towards reducing concept-to-market time through rapid fielding, follow-up, approval, and execution of partnership opportunities as well as quicker business-to-business market penetration through first-hand local knowledge. The Regional Marketing Coordinator also functions as a liaison between the Sprouts corporate office and regional locations.

Essential Functions

  • Conduct thorough on-the-ground research to identify potential partnership opportunities
  • Filter incoming proposals for store and partnership marketing opportunities
  • Conduct initial contact and/or sales and follow up meetings with business and community partners
  • Assist in creation of proposals and marketing materials
  • Maintain current contacts and relationship status database
  • Execute store and partnership marketing events and activities, including health fairs and lecture series
  • Communicate marketing plans and projects to regional staff via in-person meetings and conference calls
  • Attend regional staff and store department manager meetings
  • Distribute collateral materials to partners and stores as necessary
  • Maintain local Twitter account
  • Develop current programs and assist in creation of new partnership and community based programs to increase Sprouts’ visibility
  • Monitor, review, and report on marketing activity and results
  • Schedule and conduct store tours

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business Management or related field with 2-3 years of experience in marketing, sales, or even planning preferred; or an acceptable combination of education and experience
  • Requires creative thinking, enthusiasm, and outgoing personality
  • Ability to work a full-time flexible schedule, including some weekends
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Instant Messaging, Remote Connection to network, and experience performing Internet research and implementing online marketing programs
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, within a team, and cross-functionally
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills through email, phone, and personal interactions
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics, needs, and requirements
  • Excellent event planning, project management, and oral and written communications skills are needed to develop marketing programs from start to finish.
  • Budgeting skills preferred
  • Ability to speak comfortably in front of large audiences.
