Heartland Rehabilitation is looking for a full time Physical Therapist Assistant. Heartland Rehabilitation is part of the HCR Manor Care network. This Physical Therapist Assistant would be a Heartland Rehab employee working at Heartland Rehabilitation Services of VA - Buchanan, 19733 Main St., Buchanan, VA 24066. This clinic is a mix of patients but mostly orthopedic adults and teens. A Physical Therapist Assistant performs physical therapy programs under the general supervision of a physical therapist unless the state practice is more stringent.

Educational Requirements:Graduate of accredited two-year Physical Therapy Assistant program and obtained a passing score on the National Physical Therapy Examination or licensed, certified, or registered in accordance with applicable State law.

Position Requirements:

Experience
Prior experience preferred.

Physical Demands
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds. Walking, standing, bending, stooping and sitting for prolonged periods. Full use of gross and fine motor skills of the upper and lower extremities.
