The Benefits Operations Manager position is responsible for providing daily support to the team of Service Advisors supporting US employees with all benefits related issues and inquires. Daily work will include monitoring and supervising the activities of the team, as well as partner with Tier 1 management to provide support to the HRdirect contact center.   In addition this role will work with Health & Wellness Total Rewards team to operationalize and implement annual benefits strategy at a Tier 1 Customer Service level for a successful employee experience.


 


Major Responsibilities


• Coordinates, supervises, and is accountable for the daily/weekly/monthly activities of team members
• Manages the implementation of benefit plan changes and annual open enrollment process at the contact center
• Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion and performance goals are met
• Coordinates work activities with other supervisors, managers within HRdirect
• Collaborate with Benefits Health and Wellness Total Rewards team to ensure HRdirect can implement and operationalize annual benefit strategy for medical, dental, vision, life insurance plans, other voluntary options and retirement plans
• Ensures accurate records are maintained for benefit plans
• Directs the counseling of employees and retirees regarding their benefits
• Resolves complex problems that may require in-depth research and interpretation
• Identifies, plans and manages process improvement projects to ensure efficiencies in the operational workload

Requirements

• BA or BS degree preferred or equivalent work experience
• Minimum 3 years' experience in benefit administration and automated benefits systems
• Minimum 3 years Supervisory/Managerial experience
• Working knowledge of HR benefit operations and transactions
• Strong knowledge of employment law as it relates to benefits administration.
• Experience with Health and Welfare plans
• Strong MS Office skills
• Knowledge of benefit systems, various HRIS systems and related programs
