The Time Warner Cable Corporate office currently seeks a Validation Team Lead for our Information Technology Department. Below please find a brief description of the essential duties and responsibilities required to function successfully in this position.
Position Summary
This role will be responsible for leading data delivery and validation through the data delivery life cycle for the IT organization supporting Media Sales. The primary focus for this role is to ensure quality source data is loaded to the data warehouse platform. The data validation lead will work closely with source vendors and internal IT teams to coordinate data validation team activities including load scheduling, issue tracking, and SLA reporting. The role also leads efforts to optimize and automate validation processes to improve data load efficiency and data accuracy.
Essential Job Functions:
- Lead end-to-end data validation efforts from source system to data warehouse
- Coordinate and oversee data validations performed by onshore / offshore team members
- Develop new data validation routines for data sources added to the data warehouse platform
- Improve data validation processes to increase data load efficiency and data accuracy through automation and other means
- Coordinate data issue identification, reporting and resolution with stakeholders
- Track and report SLA ' s for data timeliness, completeness and quality as part of the validation process
- Coordinate data delivery scheduling between source system and data warehouse
- Communicate program data availability to end users and stakeholders
- Perform ad-hoc reporting requests as needed for key stakeholders
Job Requirements:
- Understand the end-to-end system flow throughout the entire Media Sales function
- Must be able to work effectively with both business and technical stakeholders
- Experience working in an analytical capacity in a data warehousing environment Familiarity with data warehousing technology and tools Solid understanding of MS Office Suite (Excel, Access, Visio, others...) Strong SQL programming skills
- Strong problem solving and analytic skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills Background in project management or operations management is a plus
Preferred Qualifications:
- 7+ years of overall IT experience
- 5+ years hands-on experience with analytics in a data warehousing environment
Education and Experience:
Bachelor ' s degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or equivalent training, education and experience. :
