Manpower Professional is currently recruiting a Manufacturing Engineer for an automotive manufacturer in Hopkinsville, KY. This is a direct placement opportunity.
Responsibilities include:
- Support existing and new projects, programs, and product lines
- Share responsibility for the effective planning, scheduling, and responsiveness of the maintenance department
- Perform research, design, and development of manufacturing processes, including production flow, assembly methods, and production equipment
- Prepare and maintains detailed layouts of facilities and equipment
- Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products, including established goals, training team members, and evaluating results
- Design, develop, test, and source various tools, machinery, and equipment for recommended manufacturing methods
- Perform product/process analysis for cost reduction, quality improvement, and efficiency improvement
- Represent manufacturing on Kaizen events and cross-functional teams
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field
- Experience with 3D CAD software
- 3+ years of experience in a lean manufacturing environment desired
- Project management experience
