Perioperative Nurse - Operating Room Nurse - (OR RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 8 D Pay Rate: $27.00 - 31.00
This Operating Room (OR) unit boasts the latest in advanced technology housed within a caring and effective patient care model. This position presents a great opportunity to learn the latest technologies while providing excellent care within a passionate team environment.
The role of the perioperative nurse / operating room nurse (OR RN) is to provide care for patients before, during, and after surgery or surgical procedures. The OR nurse / OR RN also serves as patient educator, circulating nurse and/or scrub nurse, and potentially RN first assistant or operating room director with additional training. Circulating OR nurses work within the operating suite but outside of the sterile field; scrub OR nurses handle and prepare operating instruments and equipment within the sterile field. Perioperative nurses work in every type of healthcare facility, including hospitals, ambulatory or outpatient surgery centers, and physician offices.
Required Qualifications
1. 2 years OR
2. NM or compact lic.
3. ACLS, BLS

This faith-based, not-for-profit hospital boasts northern New Mexico's only Level III trauma center. Classified as a general medical and surgical hospital, this 195-bed facility’s medical team of 380 providers covers 34 medical specialties and subspecialties.
