Primary Responsibilities:


- Analyze and interpret the key drivers of health care trends


- Develop new rates and prepare cost estimates


-Conduct and evaluate studies on pricing, utilization and health care costs


- Determine the impact on premiums and health product proposals   


- Develop pricing methodologies and assumptions


- Support rate filings and analysis of experience for various states within the Central region


- Perform mathematical analyses and Actuarial modeling that provides management with statistical findings and conclusions


- Design and run complex data programs


- Perform quantitative analysis of Actuarial, financial, utilization and costs data


- Develop program rates and forecasting/trend analysis

Requirements

Requirements:


- Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science, Math, Economics or a related degree


- Near ASA or ASA preferred


- Member of the American Academy of Actuaries preferred


- 4+ or more years of experience working in an Actuarial role required with rate filing experience strongly preferred


- At least an intermediate level of proficiency working with Microsoft Excel


- At least a basic level of proficiency with Word, PowerPoint, Access


- Strong verbal and written communication skills
