Position Description:

The Strategy Analyst will partner with end users, health plan
leadership and our account management team to transform data into business
pertinent information based on specified business requirements.  The
Strategy Analyst has the ability to understand how information flows across
different business processes and systems, and how to use that information to
support business objectives.

Manages ongoing analytics for multiple Key Account customers in
Northern Ohio.  Acts as outward-facing, dedicated resource for assigned
accounts, typically with direct client contact including large or complex
accounts.  Builds relationships with employer/group clients and serves as
the specialist for overall and day-to-day reporting delivery.  This
function includes employees who are in dedicated on-site service roles.
 Jobs in this function may work closely with sales on renewals and
upselling, but incumbents do not have specific sales goal accountability or
primary responsibility to close sales. Account management jobs focused
primarily on relationship and service management belong in this family; jobs
with significant sales responsibilities or sales-related incentives belong in a
sales band.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Demonstrates an understanding of data modeling
    (relationships, data types, tables, etc.) and analytics concepts (queries,
    reporting, association of data sources)
  • Interprets requirements and translates them
    into data requirements (interfaces, data transformation, etc.) for complex
    projects
  • Collects and interprets data from various
    internal and external sources; prepares and compiles data
  • Demonstrates familiarity in using modeling and
    reporting tools and how to use them during the analysis process
  • Designs and/or develops specific databases for
    collection, tracking, and reporting to facilitate analysis
  • Identifies key linkages among the various
    technical groups, leaders and deployment teams
  • Generally work is self-directed and not prescribed.
  • Works with less structured, more complex issues.
  • Serves as a resource to others.
Communication Skills:
  • Adept at verbal presentation at the
    manager/director level
  • Explains difficult concepts comfortably at the
    manager/director level
  • Creates deliverable templates and prepares
    written materials
  • Expresses independent view constructively,
    even when others disagree
  • Communicates effectively with clients and team
    members
  • Creates work products using standard software
    packages (Visio, Word, Access, Excel)


Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience performing significant
    data analysis and report development
  • 2+ years of MS Access experience (i.e. queries, importing/exporting data, etc.)
  • 2+ years Business Analysis experience
  • Ability to utilize Excel to create charts/graphs, v-lookups, formulas, and pivot tables
  • Ability to utilize MS PowerPoint to create presentations from scratch, modify/update existing presentations or templates, and incorporate charts/graphs from Excel
  • Bachelor's degree


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, MIS, Statistics, Mathematics, Finance, or related field
  • Previous healthcare industry experience
