Part-time Pet Nutrition Specialist Position Opportunity

Are you a natural sales person that has a natural passion for pets? We are looking for outgoing and dependable individuals who are at least 18 years old to represent The Nutro Company brands (Natural Choice (R), Ultra (R), Max (R) and Greenies TM) at pet specialty stores located throughout your area. We want enthusiastic individuals who will roam the store, approach and educate customers, and sell our products. Steady work (primarily on weekends and high traffic weekdays), great hourly compensation, and extensive training. An excellent part-time position!

As a Nutro Pet Nutrition Specialist, not only will you be contributing to the company, but you will also receive:
*Paid training in the following areas: selling skills, natural nutrition, product knowledge, and interpersonal skills

At the Nutro Company, our brands aim to provide natural solutions for pets. We are looking for Pet Nutrition Specialists to sell The Nutro Company brands to consumers in pet specialty stores throughout your area. As a part-time Pet Nutrition Specialist, you will interact with dog and cat lovers to achieve sales growth of The Nutro Company brands.

This role allows you to work collaboratively with peers, line managers, the Nutro Sales Team, and store personnel to ensure the recommendation and brand awareness for The Nutro Company Brands. You will be engaging customers to identify ways that we can best meet their pet's needs, as well as creating opportunities to make the consumer and pet interaction more enjoyable. The Pet Nutrition Specialist's ability to establish trust and credibility using our product knowledge will ultimately convert consumers to our products.

This is a great opportunity to develop knowledge in selling skills, natural nutrition and interpersonal skills, while potentially preparing you for other opportunities within our larger Mars, Inc. organization.

Accountabilities
*Increase store sales of Nutro products by interacting with customers and selling the benefits of the products.
*Learn about the needs of the consumer and his/her pet(s) by taking time to interact while they are in store.
*Utilize the product knowledge provided by The Nutro Company to recommend the appropriate products that address the identified needs of the pets.
*Take the time to develop relationships with store personnel (from management to stockers) to generate good-will and achieve recommendation in-store.
*Consistently strive for continuous improvement, personal development, and possible career opportunities.
*Educate and convert consumers to The Nutro Company brands.
*Responsible and accountable to work all scheduled demonstration shifts (Thursday-Monday) as assigned.
*The Pet Nutrition Specialist must be able to work an assigned area up to 30 miles from his/her home.

Requirements and Preferred Experience
*High School degree or equivalent, required
*Must be available to work Thursday-Monday, primarily weekends
*Must be available to work a maximum of 19 hours per week
*Must be able to lift 15 to 30 pounds often
*Computer Skills (Internet, Microsoft Office, e-mail)
*Must have access to high-speed internet for weekly e-mail communications and online training
