Electro-Mechanical Assembler

PrideStaff in Roseville is working with a local company to place an assembler in their manufacturing facility. This is a temp-hire opportunity. Prior experience and success in a similar environment combined with a great work ethic and pleasant, positive demeanor is required.

SUMMARY
Primary job function will be to perform repetitive manufacturing assembly operations to mass-produce Fiber Optic assemblies and/or products such as Mechanical/Electrical sub-assemblies.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES and Requirements include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Assembles sub-assemblies by use of assembly drawings, procedures, sketches, or verbal instructions

Mainly performs Fiber Optic assemblies, and secondly Mechanical/Electrical sub-assemblies when assigned.

The use of Adhesives, Fiber Optics, Microscope, Fiber Polisher, Label Printer, Heat Gun, etc.

Mainly performs job duties in Fiber Optics assembly.

Maintain clean and organized work place clean, keeps workstation hardware

stocked, and observes safety rules throughout the facility.

Because of the duties, in order to be successful, the employee is required to have good dexterity, use of hands and fingers, and be able to walk; stand; sit; handle& feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Requires a high school education. Typically requires good mechanical knowledge, and/or one to three years' experience, or equivalent of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as assembly drawings, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to comprehend and fill-out routine reports and documentation. Has the ability to speak effectively to co-workers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units or measures, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

REASONING ABILITY
Has the ability to solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of variables where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
