Intensive Care Nurse - ICU Nurse - (ICU RN)
StartDate: ASAP Available Shifts: 12 D, 12 N Pay Rate: $32.00 - 37.00

Even when we rank at the top of the industry we continue to make dramatic gains in a broad range of areas from treatment of hypertension and asthma to breast cancer screening - often reaching the top ten percent of all health care providers nationally. As one of the nations "Top Hospitals" with an "A" grade for Patient Safety, our dedicated physicians, nurses, and other health care professionals provide care to more than 25,000 patients admitted to our hospital and an additional 750,000 patients through our outpatient clinics.
Additional Unit Information:
ICSU Unit will float to ICU/CCU/CSU/Tele
This is the Step-down Unit from the CSU-CVICU unit
Total # of beds in the unit: 32.
-Nurse to patient ratios 1:3 for all shifts.
-No Ancillary Staff.
-Patient’s age: Adults. Staff works in 12 hour shifts.
-Unit patient population: SDU for CSU pts, post cardiac Cath & tele overflow.
-Special Unit Procedures: Pacemakers, Multi-drips, Chest tubes. -Recovering patient from Cardiac Surgery.
-Ethical Issues Procedures: Blood products/transfusions.
-Scrubs can be any color, RN provides their own scrubs.
Critical care nurses (CCU RNs) assist in the treatment of acutely ill patients with life-threatening conditions, in settings requiring continuous vigilance, complex assessment, and high-intensity therapies and interventions. Working with the patients and their families, ICU RNs strive to create healing, humane and caring environments while also focusing on patient advocacy, working in settings such as intensive care units and cardiac care units, where patients require complex assessment, high-intensity therapies and interventions, and continuous nursing vigilance.
Required Qualifications
This is the Stepdown unit from the CSU-CVICU unit
1. ICU experience
2. BLS, ACLS
3. EKG interpretation class required
4. Critical Care training course (4-6 weeks) required.
Preferred Qualifications
1. Cardiac step down experience
