Shipping/Receiving Clerk

We are recruiting for a Shipping and Receiving clerk for a production facility in Henderson KY. The position will work 7 am - 330 pm with opportunity for overtime. Qualified candidates must have a clean background and high school diploma or GED. The job duties will include: * Initiate the material planning and direct the allocation and distribution of the Division's domestic and internationally purchased rough and finished parts. Monitor this inventory investment, and ensure that it remains within established guidelines. * Analyze material requirements and initiate necessary releases for material required to support the production plan. * Communicate with suppliers to insure timely arrival of material as scheduled. * Analyze and report significant vendor delivery problems to department manager. * Identify, report and recommend disposition of excess and obsolete material to Material Control Manager. * Coordinate nonconforming material issues with the quality department and suppliers. * Manage order modifiers and lead times to maintain proper inventory levels. * Participate in engineering change implementation planning of component material. * Coordinate inbound imported material delivery with customs brokers and freight carriers. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE: Education * Previous materials experience required within a manufacturing environment * Knowledge, skills, experience and certifications required to perform job: * An extensive material planning background in which the incumbent exhibited a thorough understanding of planning principles. Job performance is expected to be above satisfactory levels on a continuing basis. Position requires technical knowledge in the concepts and application of materials requirement planning, inventory control, and low level forecasting. A thorough understanding of international business practices and systems functions and transactions is required. * Working knowledge of advanced material inventory control processes. * Computer literate, working knowledge of Windows programs.
