About this job

The Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting the district management team with financial issues pertaining to reporting, monitoring costs, reviewing production, payroll, monthly close of global managerial books, etc. He/She researches and interprets financial data to provide information to management by running SQL based processes, understanding and maintaining various mapping tables used in cost allocations in addition to reconciling financial and statistical data sets and results.  The Financial analyst should be able to effectively articulate the cost model impacts on service and geography profitability.

  • Performs and Completes Business Planning Reviews
  • Conducts Monthly Closeout Reporting
  • Conducts Cost Planning and Analysis
  • Completes Ad Hoc Requests

 

Preferred Competencies

  • Must have the ability to understand and clearly communicate advanced costing processes and concepts to others.
  • Demonstrates basic knowledge of accounting theory and principles; describes generally accepted accounting practice (GAAP) methods, such as, straight-line depreciation, accruing costs, averaging of costs, and recording of revenue and expenses in proper periods.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of basic financial terminology and concepts such as cash flows, operating profit/loss, and net income; assists others in constructing financial arguments that enable
  • Demonstrates a general understanding of the purpose of specific information gathering techniques for soliciting and gathering appropriate information; conducts interviews with respondents who have already been identified, using predefined questions or protocols with supervision; captures notes while gathering information from others.
  • Demonstrates a general understanding of various sources of information or data that are relevant to a problem and possible strategies for integrating this information; any work performed requiring integrating or summarizing data is closely supervised.

Minimum Qualifiers

  • Intermediate to Advanced Microsoft Office products or equivalent software
  • Basic knowledge of SQL
  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance, Accounting, Mathematics, Computer Information Systems or Business Administration)
