Description

The successful candidate will have the responsibility of developing a large and complex international web application used within the motor industry. The role will involve working with the latest C# web technologies (.NET 4.0, MVC, HTML5, CSS3, Web Forms, Knockout) under an experienced technical architect on projects that will be used by both end consumers and employees within a vehicle remarketing setting.

Key Responsibilities:

· Develop and deliver a wide range of high profile, accessible and standards-compliant web projects.

· Work with colleagues and technical resources to define technical solutions that meet business requirements using agreed tools and technologies.

· Develop solutions in-line with in-house standards and practices.

· Carry out unit testing during the code development.

· Produce technical documentation for software modules being delivered.

· Contribute to the on-going development of best practices, identification of suitable new tools and system and service improvements

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

· Requirements Gathering, problem solving and analysis

· Written and verbal communication

· Proficient in web programming with extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, MVC, Web forms and the .NET Framework 3.5 & 4.0

· Experience of other web development technologies including HTML 5.0, CSS 3, JavaScript, JQuery, XML, SOAP and Ajax.

· Proficient in database development using SQL Server 2008/2012; particularly the creation of database objects including tables, views, stored procedures and functions.

· Creation of web-based data reports using SQL Server Reporting Services.

· knockout

· Strong understanding of internet, systems, web technologies and web service architectures.

· Understanding of W3C web standards and accessibility guidelines is required.

· Experience with object-oriented software development methodologies and practices.

· In-depth knowledge and experience of the software development lifecycle.

· A good understanding of configuration management, testing and bug tracking; ideally with experience of NUnit (TDD).

· Experience of development file source control using Team Suite.

· Ability to understand, improve and debug legacy code if required.

· Ability to write clear technical documentation to support the delivery of a software project.

· Experience of creating data integration solutions within BizTalk Server 2009 / 2013. (Mandatory for BizTalk developer
