Our Retail Sales Associates are vital to delivering customer service that offers a distinctive shopping/selling experience and drives sales results. The ideal candidate for this position is available 15-20 hours per week and can work most weekends, flexible scheduling is available. Previous retail sales experience is preferred but not required.
While all positions within Children's Orchard(R) require working as part of a team to meet store objectives, your individual responsibilities as a Sales Associate include:
* Greet and make a connection with each customer; actively listen to determine his/her needs and present options to meet those needs
* Utilize product knowledge and selling skills to build repeat business and create a lasting positive impression of you and your store
* Exhibit a cheerful and helpful attitude, and maintain a professional appearance at all times
* Ability to adapt to changing customer volume levels with a sense of urgency
* Maintain selling floor, back room, and fitting rooms where applicable to present a clean, neat, and easy to shop environment
* Follow all buying guidelines and have knowledge of current child safety and recall information
* Work a flexible retail schedule (15-20 hours) including evening, weekend, and key shopping events
* Ability to stand for long periods of time and occasionally lift up to 40lbs.
* Goal-oriented, with a desire to meet and exceed sales, customer service, and loyalty program standards
* Work as a team player in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple priorities and quickly learning new procedures
* Communicate effectively with customers, peers, and management
* Perform other duties as required
