Warehouse Team Leader
Roles & Responsibilities
*Manages all warehouse activities and Warehouse Associates
*Supports all company initiatives concerning customer profiles and internal system requirements
*Manage and review all warehouse employees
*Schedule required amount of work hours to assure products are shipping correctly and on time
*Hiring for existing or new warehouse positions
*Manages relationships and negotiates freight rates with carriers (i.e. UPS, YRC, ABF, Pitt-Ohio, etc.)
*Order entry (Transition to Sales & Marketing Assistant)
oCollect all customer sales orders via EDI, phone, email, fax, customer websites
oCreate and enters sales orders into Quickbooks
*Pulls and packages orders or verifies pulled orders (i.e. order quantities, part no., etc.) prior to shipment if Warehouse Associate pulls the order
*Determines whether Triton or customer is responsible for scheduling shipment on sales orders and how orders will be shipped (i.e. truck or UPS)
*Prepare bills of lading and determines freight classes for truck shipments
*Enters and schedules shipments on carriers' websites
*Maintain customer profiles including freight, confirmations and other customer requirments
*Backs-up Warehouse Associate on assembly and kitting products and special packaging for customers (i.e. McMaster Carr)
*Oversee receiving and inspection of vendor orders, including reporting of errors and issues (i.e. wrong quantity, wrong products, damaged goods, etc.)
*Enters receipt of goods/inventory into Quickbooks (except containers from China)
*Prepares spreadsheet for container orders from China from packing lists sent by Broker/Freight forwarded verifying count and any inspection issue. Spreadsheet is provided to Finance & Administration Manager
*Set-up add new part numbers in Quickbooks
*Order domestic inventory parts and products (i.e. tempered pegboard, casters for tool carts, etc.)
*Order packaging and shipping supplies
*Maintain clean and organized warehouse
*Ensure proper controls exist over inventory, including cycle counting and physical inventory procedures are maintained and executed
