About this job
Mil Utility Operator
- Changeover and operate the mills in a safe and productive manner while making necessary adjustments to maintain a quality product
- Fill in as necessary at any open position inside or out if not needed on one of the mills
- Work with assistant mill operators and other co-workers in various departments on a random basis
- Work with and perform all other duties assigned by supervisor, Plant Superintendent and/or Operations Manager
Requirements
- High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50lbs regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move more than 100lbs occasionally
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
