The ideal regional loss prevention investigator is motivated, results oriented and committed to providing outstanding customer service every day.

Responsibilities
  • Reduce and control fraud losses by developing, initiating and resolving a variety of investigations
  • Identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
  • Apply knowledge and proper use of investigative tools and loss prevention systems
  • Develop and maintain beneficial relationships within Nordstrom and with industry partners
  • Achieve quality, productivity and integrity standards for investigations
  • Prepare and present accurate documentation
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality
  • Assess and assist in emergency situations

Qualifications
  • Prior experience in loss prevention required
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite of applications
  • Strong understanding of both APIS and XBR
  • Highly analytical; ability to research questions and review facts to make accurate decisions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Commitment to data integrity and accuracy
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with various business partners
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule based on department and store needs
