Description

Job Purpose:

The Restaurant Equipment Technician (RE Tech) is responsible for the maintenance and repair of client mechanical and electrical equipment. The RE Tech will perform repairs, warranty work and preventative maintenance on-site in a consistent and friendly manner on a scheduled and emergency basis for a variety of clients including both restaurants and other commercial properties.

Job Duties:

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair commercial grade:
    • HVAC systems
    • Refrigeration systems
    • Oven and Proofing systems
    • Hot Well units
    • Toaster Ovens
    • Microwaves
    • Sinks and faucets
    • Beverage dispenser systems
    • Ice making systems
    • Lighting systems
  • Be on call for emergency maintenance activities, including nights, weekends and holidays
  • Drive between various locations throughout the workday
  • Other duties as assigned
 Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of commercial grade:
    • HVAC systems
    • Refrigeration systems
    • Oven and Proofing systems
    • Hot Well units

    • Sinks and faucets

  • Skill in maintaining restaurant equipment
  • Skill in minor building repair
  • Skill in equipment diagnostics
  • Skill in developing and maintaining effective working relationships
  • Skill in use of smart phone
  • Must possess driver’s license
  • Ability to communicate effectively with home office personnel and store employees
  • Skill in maintaining detailed communication and organization
  • Ability to effectively multi-task and handle and complete multiple tasks when needed
  • Maintains the highest level of professional appearance and demeanor at all times to reflect a positive image within the company and client business locations
  • Ability to walk, stand and bend for longs periods of time while working
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs of items frequently
  • Available to work nights and weekends as needed
  • Ability to drive between worksites

 

Work Environment:

  • Normal working hours are Monday through Saturday from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Some longer shifts, nights, weekends, or holidays may occur. May be required to be on-call for nights, weekends and holidays.
