The Marketing & Community Relations Vice President is a combined Employer & Individual and Community & State role, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer for E&I and C&S in Pennsylvania.  (Preference is for the position to be based in Philadelphia.)


 


Primary Responsibilities:



  • Strategically plans and executes network and marketing strategies, outreach and education activities for all Individual-based products, across both segments:

    • Individual Exchange

    • Medicaid

    • Healthy PA (private coverage option)

    • CHIP

    • Dual special needs products

  • Creates and executes distribution strategies, including brokerage strategies across all products, internal sales teams and external sales teams.  Coordinates across E&I and C&S to leverage existing internal sales teams (UHOne, C&S Inside Sales, C&S Harc)

  • Develops short and long-term strategic directives for the company, plans campaigns and programs to meet such goals; periodically reviews department performance in relation to established goals, implementing changes to effect improvement or react to a change in the organization or industry, and presents all activity to executives.

  • Develops and recommends department operating budgets; prepares departmental statistics.

  • Ensure compliance with state and municipal laws, rules and guidelines for marketing and outreach.

  • Organizes and directs training and orientation for all personnel in the department.

  • Directs outreach planning, which includes an analysis of competitive products and outreach techniques, consumer research, marketing legislation, outreach budget and goals

  • Maintains state network access and composition requirements, competition assessment and monitoring, reimbursement methodology and price points

  • Manage health plan relationships with key providers and other health plans

Requirements

Required Qualifications:



  • BA/BS Degree

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience

  • 5+ years in sales leadership

 


Preferred Qualifications:



  • Demonstrated successful leadership experience

  • Demonstrated career progression to the management level in designing, developing and managing sales, marketing, community relations functions specifically in the managed care industry

  • Knowledge of local Pennsylvania market and market needs

  • Knowledge of healthcare insurance
