DISTRIBUTION CENTER MATERIAL HANDLER

2nd Shift Hours: 3:30 pm - 11:30 pm, extended hours may vary from 3:30 pm - 1:30 am
Available P.T. schedules
1st Shift: 6:00 am - 10:00 am, with potential of starting at 5:00 am
10:00 am - 2:00 pm, with potential of extending to 3:00 pm
2nd Shift: 3:30 pm - 7:30 pm, with potential of extending to 8:30 pm
Basic Function:
To process manufacturersaEURTM goods received by the Distribution Center prior to shipment to individual retail stores under the general direction of the Distribution Center Coach and Managers, and do related work as required.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
§ Unload, separate, palletize and tag incoming freight for receipt into company inventory.
§ Verify all shipments have correct carton counts and that all damaged merchandise and shortages are identified and notedbefore signing carriers freight bill.
§ Put away merchandise.
§ Retrieve merchandise from stock locations (air and floor) using manual and powered industrial equipment and RF guns,prior to consolidation at the shipping dock for distribution to individual retail stores.
§ Prepare outbound trailers each day for shipment.
§ Load store merchandise into trailers according to shipping departmentaEURTMs load sequence.
§ Assist in the staging of store merchandise in appropriate area to be loaded.
§ Update data in system of all merchandise transferred from one location to another.
§ Resolve discrepancies with quantities on hand after investigation of shipments. Notify Coach of discrepancies for immediate resolution.
§ Document work necessary to complete daily production logs.
§ Operate and use forklift and powered industrial equipment to expedite the movement of goods.
§ Comply with all Company policies, including safety, attendance, productivity, housekeeping and quality guidelines.
§ Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements:
§ Must be at least 18 years old.
§ Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
§ Strong sense of urgency to effectively complete multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
§ Ability to perform job duties productively and accurately.
§ Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
§ Ability to do repetitive tasks.
§ Safety conscious.
§ Overtime before and after shift may be required.
