Automation Personnel Services is hiring Electrical Maintenance Technicians for the Soddy Daisy area.
Schedule is day shift Monday thru Friday 6pm-2: 30am with overtime as needed.
Pay rate is $18 based on experience.
Temp to hire position.
Background and drug screen required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs highly diversified duties to install and maintain production machines and plant facility s equipment.

Provides emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment/systems and performs scheduled preventative maintenance of production equipment/systems as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.

Performs mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines.

Executes simple machinist duties and responsibilities.

Diagnoses problems, replaces and repairs parts, test and makes adjustments by using common sense, the appropriate test instruments and/or tools. Such tools include: wrench, screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, etc.

Reads and interprets equipment manuals, diagrams and work orders to perform the required maintenance and service.

Maintains required documentation regarding the maintenance performed on all equipment/

Performs other duties as assigned.
Safety

Maintains a safe work environment.

Wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment when required.

Accurately reports accidents or incidents that occur in the department or work area assigned.

Educational and/or Experience
Technical Training Certificate or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or a High school diploma or general education degree (GED) in combination with two (2) years related experience or training.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents, such as, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Capable to write routine reports and correspondences. Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, peers and vendors.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute ratio, rate and percent. Capable to draw and interpret graphs.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished written, oral or diagram form. Capable to solve problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
