Usher - Full-time / Part-time

POSITION PURPOSE
Under the general supervision of the theatre manager, the user/doorperson admits guests into the theatre, maintains the appearance of the theatre through constant cleaning, and monitors crowd behavior.

FUNDAMENTAL JOB DUTIES

• Greets guests, tears tickets, and admits guests into theatre.
• Directs guests to auditorium(s), rest rooms, exit doors.
• Works alone.
• Sweeps/picks up/vacuums lobby, rest rooms, auditorium(s), perimeter of property.
• Seats guests in auditorium.
• Changes marquee and signboards.
• Closes auditorium doors as movies begin; opens doors as  guests exit.
• Enforces no smoking and disturbance policies.
• Pops popcorn.
• Replaces burned out light bulbs.
• Removes full garbage bags from garbage cans and carries garbage to dumpster(s) located outside.
• Replaces roll towels, toilet paper, and soap in rest rooms.
• Closing usher secures and locks the building, often as sole individual remaining in theatre.
• Performs other such duties as may be assigned by management.
