We Have a Client in the East Bay that is looking for a Store Manager. This is a new position for this area. This is a Direct Hire position.



Summary

The Store Manager overall responsibility is to deliver the highest customer service to increase sales, profitability and the success of the “Company” through: overseeing the hiring, training, and motivation of “Company” employees; overseeing and executing sales plans; implementing marketing plans as directed, controlling costs and improving profitability; and consistently exceeding customer expectations. The Store Manager should have strong knowledge of functional support areas, including our core business, sales, finance, human resources, training, marketing, and payroll.

Responsibilities/Tasks
  • Drives financial statements and continual improvement of key areas of the business.
  • Works with Marketing Director to develop to implement and execute the “Company”-marketing plan.
  • Works with Customer Service Representatives and In Home Consultant to develop and execute the “Company” sales plan.
  • Ensures the profitability of moves as well as exceptional customer service.
  • Responsible for establishing staffing requirements, conducting interviews, new hire process and training of new employees.
  • Responsible for employee accountability and adherence to “Company” and system standards and policies.
  • Responsible for employee development, accountability and corrective action programs.
  • Oversees all workers compensation and unemployment claims.
  • Oversees Store Safety Plans, Safety Committees and insures a safe work environment.
  • Ensures “Company” compliance with all DOT regulations and FMCSA guidelines.
  • Assists and works with Home Office personnel on the development and rollout of key improvement initiatives for the system.
  • Ensures and recommends the appropriate training and development programs for staff offered through Company university ? and other authorized vendors to further the knowledge of the system
  • Actively participates in community, industry or other relevant associations.
  • Drives communication upward through daily, weekly, and monthly reports of all functional areas for executive review
  • Other duties as assigned by the Owner.


Supervisory

Responsible for the direction and day-to-day supervision of all field and office staff.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business, management, or other related field is required. A master’s degree is highly preferred.

    OR

  • A minimum of 5 years of business, management, or other relevant experience is required. “COMPANY” or moving industry experience is preferred.

    Skills/Knowledge/Abilities (SKA) Required

  • Extensive knowledge of “COMPANY” system policies, procedures, and industry

  • Strong understanding of financial statements
    • Excellent oral and written comprehension and communication skills


  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Demonstrated ability to lead by example to motivate, develop, and direct people

  • Ability to assess the performance of self, employees, and “Company” to make improvements or take corrective action

  • Strong decision making ability

  • Understanding of and commitment to customer service and the “COMPANY” core values

  • Must be proficient with the following Microsoft applications:

    o Excel

    o Word

    o Outlook

    Work Environment

    Work is generally performed in an office setting with no unusual hazards; however, occasionally lifting of up to 100 pounds may be necessary. Travel is minimal, but may be require for training purposes.
