Whelan Security is looking for a talented and driven Field Services Supervisor to provide the day to day supervision of local security officers in the Middle Tennessee area.

The Field services supervisor serves as the immediate supervisor for the security officer team and works to ensure that customer service is of the highest of standards – capable of representing Whelan as the premier provider of contract security services in the industry. Specific responsibilities include:
  • Supervise the day-to-day security officers and ensure service is of the highest standards.
  • Fill open schedules and address staffing needs for local accounts.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with officers and provide immediate supervision to the security officer team.
  • Meet regularly with officers on all shifts to address problems and offer solutions, provide status updates, communicate needs, and ensure contract compliance and complete customer satisfaction.
  • Participate in the recruitment, selection, orientation, training, and continual development of officers.
  • Perform off-hour visits, review security logs, and regularly inspect all posts to ensure company and client policies and procedures have been properly implemented.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of staffing schedules, payroll, post orders, and other reports.


Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have at least 3+ years of relevant supervisory or management experience. A college degree (Associates or greater) is preferred although equivalent experience will be considered. Candidates must demonstrate a stable work history and pass an extensive background screening which includes, but is not limited to, criminal background checks (local, state, and federal), drug test, aptitude tests, skills assessments, interviews, and past employment verification.

We are looking for intelligent, courteous individuals with a friendly attitude, professional demeanor, great customer service skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Previous contract services, hospitality, military or law enforcement experience is desirable.
