In this position, you will be working on a computer monitoring Pre-service Insurance Claims for members. You will be reviewing the benefits to determine Benefit eligibility and you will review their Medical Plan Benefit Prior Authorizations. You will also be creating referrals for the Case Management Department. You will be tasked with reviewing the work of your colleagues. You will handle escalated calls regarding Member Insurance Claims. You will support your Supervisor on special projects, including putting together data regarding Profits improvement. Other duties as assigned. 

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Respond to Incoming Provider and Enrollee calls. 
  • Resolve Customer Service inquiries which could include: 
    • Entering notifications/Providers' status of an existing notification and determining if notification is required;
    • Completing Notification Wizard, along with ICD-9 and CPT Coding.
  • Provide excellent Customer Service to both Providers and Enrollees.
  • Constantly meet established productivity, schedule adherence, and quality standards while maintaining good attendance.
  • Assist with faxes and emails. 
  • Moderate work experience within own function.
  • Some work is completed without established procedures.
  • Basic tasks are completed without review by others.
  • Supervision/guidance is required for higher level tasks.

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma/GED.
  • Minimal Travel - 10%
  • 3+ years of Customer Service experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in an Office setting using the telephone and computer as the primary instruments to perform the job duties.
  • Computer skills, including familiarity with Windows applications, the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications with the proper training and utilize them for phone and off phone tasks, and proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel - sort, filter, and plug in data, and Outlook - send and receive emails, set appointments).
Preferred
Qualifications: 
  • Experience working with Medical Insurance in a professional environment.
  • Data Entry experience.
  • Familiarity with Medical Terminology.
  • Any College experience.
