Pitney Bowes Mail Services
This position will sit in our Pitney Bowes Mail Services business unit. This business unit helps customers earn the best possible discounts on First-Class and Standard postage with our presort services, doing work the U.S. Post Service would otherwise have to perform. This service spans the globe with international offerings, ranging from mail preparation and fulfillment to courier and freight services.
We are currently seeking a Technician. The right candidate will be an integral part of our talented team, supporting our continued growth. This position will be located in our Grand Pr., TX location.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for mechanical and electronic repairs of all equipment.
Completes preventative maintenance according to MPTQM and vendor operating standards.
Responds to equipment break down or emergency situations with urgency and expediency.
Consistently utilizes Infor 10 and maintains the spare parts/supply inventory.
Evaluates and assesses equipment problems by troubleshooting and completing repairs in a timely manner.
Communicates and/or escalates serious equipment issues to the Lead Technician or Senior Technician
Attends appropriate technical training classes
Studies, reviews and utilizes vendor technical manuals, publications or updates, as needed, to remain familiar with all changes or modifications to equipment.
Assists other PBPS locations with moving and/or installing of equipment as needed.
Responds to a pager/cell phone during on-call periods or during emergency situations.
Regular attendance
Performs all other duties as assigned

Qualification
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills and abilities required. Excellent problem solving skills, including the ability to troubleshoot equipment problems, establish priorities, and work under deadline pressures.
Ability to communicate clearly, explain equipment maintenance or repair needs to management technicians and other employees.
Must work well with others in a team environment
Must be able to take instruction or direction
The ability to read and follow schematics
The ability to work a flexible schedule (open to working any of the 3 shifts) and overtime as required
Ability to use basic electrical/electronic testing equipment
A minimum of 2 years' experience in a mechanical technician role
A technical degree is a plus
2 positions are open:
a.Monday - Friday: 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm 5 days, 8 hours per day
b.Monday - Friday: 7:00 am - 3:30 pm 5 days, 8 hours per day
c. Tuesday - Saturday 11:00pm - 7:30 am 5 days, 8 hours per day
Need to be flexible to work Sat, Sun and holidays as required and need to be available up to 12 hours per day as required
Hours: candidate needs to be open to working any of the 3 shifts, based on operational need with little or no advanced noticed
Candidate must able to work at either the Grand Pr,TX or Arlington, TX location
Rate of pay:$16 per hour based on previous experience and skill set
