FULL TIME head cook at a well known small brew-pub (since 1996) specializing in locally sourced foods & a healthy menu, mostly soups and sandwiches, salads & special entree that change weekly. looking for someone
Who desires to build on our great reputation & who will embrace the challenge of our small but spunky kitchen and have a desire to keep improving the quality of the menu and efficiency of the space we have.
Experience and culinary degree preferred. Paid time off, 401k with company contributions, health benefits - closed all major holidays and a full week in July - so you can enjoy some time off!!
Responsibilities include; menu planning, inventory control- ordering, daily grocery shopping, daily cooking of soups and specials, general overseeing & training of kitchen staff, prep-line cooking, Dishwashing & cleaning.
Climbing stairs, ability to stand- twist-kneel throughout the day & lift heavy objects - when stocking- is required.
Food safely certified required within 6 months of hire- if not current.
