About this job
This person must be able to operate a multiple ton overhead crane. They will be handling carbon steel (16 gauge - 2 in thick) & stainless steel (1/4 in - 2 inc thick). They will also have to use power/air tools to clean up all parts before they are completed to go to the next dept. They will be held to ensure the all cranes throughout the facility are running properly. They must also be able to perform necessary maintenance on the crane if anything breaks down. They must be able to hit the ground running. They will work in tandem with other overhead crane operators. A typical day for this position would be coming in at 8:00 am for 1st shift and leaving around 5:30 pm, getting everything situated around the overhead cranes (making sure area is clean, all parts are stacked accordingly, etc). They will be running the overhead crane for the whole shift and will be on their feet.
