Maintenance Technician - Full-time / Part-time

We are currently in need of three Maintenance Technicians for Contract-to-hire and direct-hire opportunities with successful production plants. Recent/Relevant experience as an industrial maintenance technician is required. Must be open to shift and weekends until tenure is established. Great benefits/insurance. $18-23/hr BOE

SUMMARY
A Maintenance Technician maintains and repairs Injection Molding Machines, automated fork trucks, and other auxiliary equipment such as conveyors, grinders, etc.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Complete preventive maintenance tasks on machines, automated fork trucks, grinders, conveyors, and other equipment used in the Department.
Observes equipment in operation and evaluates potential problems for future repairs.
Dismantles equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts.
Adjusts functional parts of equipment and control instruments.
Repairs or replaces defective parts.
Installs special functional and structural parts in equipment.
Lubricates and cleans parts.
Starts equipment to test their performance.
Set up and operate lathe, drill press, grinder, and other metalworking tools to repair or make spare parts.
Repairs electrical equipment.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
