About this Opportunity

  • Assist practitioners during the guest visit including rooming the guest, collecting patient history, accurately collecting vital signs and specimens for simple tests.
  • Preparing, administering and providing educational materials for vaccination services (IL only: Clinic Support Nurses will not administer vaccinations).
  • Provide consistently high quality medical services and experiences.
  • Assist the practitioner in responding in emergency situations in the store; practicing within scope of service.
  • Maintain clinical knowledge and counseling skills in order to deliver a genuine health care experience and improve health outcomes for guests.
  • Multitask between the desk, waiting area and exam rooms
  • Quickly and courteously answer all internal and external phone calls; take messages, transfer pages and/or provide information as needed.
  • Champion a culture of medical and business accountability, and communicate opportunities and recommendations to the ETL-Clinic.
  • Drive operational excellence to maximize Clinic workflow, guest experience and Target medical quality standards.
  • Use proper operational processes to check in each patient quickly and courteously, and assisting the guest as needed; including accurately processing and collecting insurance co-payments as well as any additional charges for services; receiving authorization for payment.
  • Answer questions regarding insurance co-payment, billing and additional charges for services.
  • Ensure accuracy by creating and updating guest account information.
Requirements:

  • Licensed as a practical nurse (or a registered nurse)
  • Ability to confidently prepare, administer and provide vaccination services and guest education (except in IL)
  • Ability to confidently and accurately collect patient history, vital signs and specimens for simple tests
  • Ability to scan and/or key appropriate information into register and electronic medical record
  • American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider Certification (or equivalent)
  • Understanding of health insurance: local providers, general plan types, and terminology
Availability:
  •  Flexible work schedule (e.g., nights, weekends, holidays, long hours) and regular attendance necessary
