Provide clerical support to the Creditand Collections function in aspects of maintaining customer account records asit pertains to open invoices, credits, and adjustments; communication withcustomers and sales functions on outstanding invoices, partial payments,etc. Follow up via phone and e-mailcommunications for outstanding invoices, partial payments, etc. Act as clerical support to Credit &Collection Manager for filing and updating computer records.
Supply skipped and missing invoicecopies to customers - daily
Follow up on discounts taken late andcollect- daily
Prepare statements on request, tocustomers/sales personnel - weekly
Provide credit reference requests – asrequired – 2-3 times week
Research payment discrepancies – daily
Maintain physical and computer files foreach customer account – daily
Research D&B database and prepareanalysis for C&C manager - weekly
File credit application and supportingdata for credit level – as required
Prepare month end reports as directed byC&C manager - monthly
Miscellaneous projects as assigned – as required
Clear C-1 credit reviews under directionof C&C manager - daily

Job Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required, college level accounting classes or Accounting Degree preferred.
2-5 years hands-on Accounting experience.
Basic computer skills and word processing.
Good mathematical background
Some experience with spreadsheets and automated accounting systems
Ability to sort, check, count, and verify numbers
Ability to multi-task, prioritize and work efficiently
Ability to listen, communicate (written and verbal), excellent grammar, spelling and proof reading skills and follow-up effectively with all staffing levels and clients/customers
Ability to work independently, self-starter, energetic
Ability to demonstrate good common sense and sound judgment
Flexibility to adapt to all situations and work varied hours; possibly work weekends or evenings
Ability to use 10-key calculator for a variety of accounting functions
Ability to perform at high levels in a fast paced ever-changing work environment
Ability to anticipate work needs and follow through with minimum direction
