The Financial Analyst will provide analysis and support to the Real Estate Department’s acquisition, development, construction and leasing functions.
- Provide management with planning and control information by assembling and analyzing financial data, providing forecasts, explaining processes and techniques, recommending actions and providing analysis of results against targets.
- Evaluate projected financial results of undertaking new projects, acquisition, divestitures, analyzing capital expenditure proposals and recommending courses of action.
- Perform financial analysis of yield for properties to show accurate income, expenses, lease-up and proper return as an end result.
- Ensure packages incorporate correct demographic, rental rates, income & expense projections, etc.
- Conduct and coordinate due diligence on properties under contract for acquisition.
- Assist in the integration of new facilities into the various Public Storage software systems.
- Prepare CAM and utility reconciliations on the commercial portfolio.
- Prepare financial reports by collecting and summarizing information and results. Develop ad hoc reports as needed.
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance from an accredited college or university
- 5+ years of related experience in real estate; Big 4 experience is a plus
- Exceptional presentation and analytical skills
- Outstanding organizational skills and good attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral skills
- Advanced knowledge of Excel and proficiency on Access is preferred
