Seeking a Lead Wetland Scientists to work in the Western Pennsylvania area
Candidate should have 6-12 years of professional experience (in the northeast) fully proficient in state and federal procedures (e.g. 3-Parameter: vegetation, soils and hydrology) for wetlands delineation to work out of one of our southern New England Offices.
BS/MS degree in Environmental Science, Biology/Wetlands Science or soils science, along with demonstrated experience in performing and leading teams conducting wetlands. Wetlands and Soils Science Certifications preferred (PWS, CWS, Soil Science Cert).
Background in Massachusetts, New England and New York natural resources regulations especially water resources as it relates to linear infrastructure projects preferred, along with a geographic preference for Massachusetts and southern New England. Ability to work long hours (with paid overtime) in a construction environment and some weekends is needed. Strong verbal and written communication skills helpful along with working as part of a larger team. Experience with GIS and GPS highly desirable. This position requires leadership skills with the ability to lead and direct field teams, coordinate regularly with the Project Manager and interface with clients and regulatory agencies. Previous experience supporting natural gas transmission and electric transmission projects highly desirable.
Will be working 6-10 hour days Monday - Saturday; until 12/31/14
