About this job

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE:
* Assist the marketing and product management teams in creating high quality, professional documents for use in technical manuals, bids and proposals, marketing white papers and other external facing product and solution communications
* Drive a consistent and scalable documentation process framework to create, store and manage internal and customer facing documents
* Improve cross functional collaboration within the company by providing easily accessible information repository across multiple organizations

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

* Owns the creation of all customer-facing documents.
* Works independently to gather and research engineering and development information for use in customer-facing documents (white papers, user guides, release notes, technical notes/bulletins, reference manuals, others).
* Gather and document the most current information on a product release
* Create and manage the documentation files for multiple products and their releases
* Provide time estimates for documentation efforts, and then create and track schedules based on these estimates
* Attend project and team meetings as needed; set up and participate in document reviews.
* Achieves a deep understanding of the technical concepts that are introduced into new and existing products as new releases/features, with minimal assistance.
* Works with customer support engineers, test engineers, hardware/software developers, and other technical personnel, as required, to become proficient with product technology.
* Works with sales, marketing and engineering to create customer facing marketing documents.
* Works with proposal managers to support proposal development as part of RFP process.
* Able to present complex technical concepts in a clear and concise manor, based on gathered information and knowledge gained through the documentation research and development process.
* Applies top-notch communication skills, both on paper and face-to-face
* Completes other requests, as assigned by Manager.

KNOWLEDGE AND EDUCATION:
* Bachelor's degree in English or related field
