Job Overview:
  • Provide customer service and support.
  • Functions as a primary resource in handling pharmacy / pharmacist contacts via telephone ranging from routine to complex, regarding insurance authorization, benefits, claims, and general assistance.
  • Deliver the highest quality customer service through the execution of responsiveness, reliability, assurance/confidence, accuracy, and professionalism on every pharmacy/pharmacist interaction in a fast-paced call center.


Job Description/Skills:
  • Respond to inbound pharmacy/customer calls.
  • Performs duties related to the resolution of adjudicated prescription claims with regards to member eligibility, benefit parameters applied, determination of prior authorization or overrides and exceptions in the system.
  • Must complete calls expeditiously, accurately and in a professional manner.


Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Experience using Internet, Windows applications (Word, Excel) and eMail services (Outlook)
  • Excellent verbal communication skills (vocabulary and articulation)
  • Ability to express assurance/confidence and empathy.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule; may require holiday and weekends;
  • Easily adaptable to change
  • Must have prior voice experience in a call center environment.
  • Previous pharmaceutical or medical experience preferred.
