OBJECTIVES:
The Vendor Management Inventory (VMI) Analyst will report to the Walmart/Sam’s Club VMI Manager and participate with the customer VMI team in support of the Walmart Inc. accounts. This position will ensure a single point of contact for customers and continuously strive to improve customer service and meet the customers’ targets. The analyst will establish relationships with customer buyers and DPSG on-site commercial teams and provide an end to end “customer service” process with a single point of contact for Vendor Managed Inventory to support our DPSG business at Walmart and Sam’s.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Participate on the customer VMI / Co-Managed customer teams, ensuring a single point of contact for customers and continuously striving to improve customer service and meet both DPSG and the customers’ targets.
  2. Manage daily ordering for Sam’s Club DSD business, working with Independent Bottling groups to fulfill Club Replenishment needs.
  3. Drive service excellence; Analyze / interpret customer service level information to facilitate proactive improvement opportunities using Sam’s GRS environment.
  4. Ensure on time delivery for orders through monitoring on time delivery metrics and partnering with the transportation teams and bottling partners.
  5. Manage and publish critical management reports on in-stock, on-time and inventory level compliance to DPSG management team.
  6. Analyze, support, and develop overall logistics strategies for the Sam’s team (both internal and external).
  7. Manage and escalate any customer invoicing challenge to DPS Sales team. Utilize tools such as MS Office,
    RetailLink, INFOREM, HOST, GRS and SAP tools.
  8. Execute business processes related to order cycle, forecasting, promotional activity, claims, returns, deductions, etc. Resolves disputes including supply chain variations, forecast inaccuracies between DPS & Sam’s and all product related issues.
  9. Collaborate with Manager to identify and implement strategic initiatives to enhance customer relationship while reducing cost. Provides analysis to take advantage of promotion, distribution, pricing and process opportunities.
  10. Execute business process using strong communication, customer service, problem solving and analytical skills.
  11. Ability to travel up to 5%.

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor degree from accredited college/university OR High school education/GED equivalency and two years supply chain/logistics experience
  2. Two years of VMI, order processing, or replenishment experience.
  3. Two years’ experience using MS Excel.
  4. One years’ experience using SAP.
  5. One year experience using Retail Link/Inforem.
  6. Training completed using Sam’s Club Global Replenishment System (GRS)
