Fun After-School Science Club Instructor (Cobb, Fulton, Dekalb, Gwinnett)

Big Thinkers Science Exploration is currently looking for animated, energetic dynamic individuals to bring the most FUN SCIENCE experience EVER to children all over the metro Atlanta Area. We visit schools, childcare centers, libraries, scout groups, and more! No science background necessary! Just come ready to learn.

Now hiring for part time positions for the following areas of business:

After-school Program Instructors:We seek engaging and animated instructors to teach weekly After School Science Clubs around the Metro area.Must be available to teach 3-5 afternoons (2pm-5pm) per week during the school year.Most local area schools dismiss between 2:00pm and 4:00pm.Must have experience working with children. (Starting Pay= $25/ 1hr long workshop)

Workshops/ In-School Field Trips:Visit locations and teach in-class field trips on diverse topics for small groups children. Workshops may be scheduled for schools, daycare facilities, scout programs, church groups, libraries, etc.This position has varied hours. Flexible daytime availability required.(Starting Pay= $25/ 1hr workshop)
Birthday Party Performers:Performers wanted to conduct birthday parties for small groups, usually held in customers' homes.High energy entertaining experience is a must.Seeking actors, improv performers, magicians, puppeteers, clowns, and characters!Weekend availability required, 2 weekends per month minimum. ($30-$45 per 1hr party + gratuity)

Super Science Show Performers:Performers wanted forlarge group events(school assemblies, corporate events, festivals).High energy entertaining experience is a must.Seeking actors, improv performers, magicians, puppeteers, clowns, and characters!Varied availability (weekdays/weekend, daytime/evening) ($45/ 1hr long show).

Special Event Team:Instructors wanted for occasional events, science nights, festivals, carnivals, expos, etc. Conduct small scale experiments with transient crowds at booths.Varied availability, usually evenings and weekends. ($10/hr)

***Cities: Lawrenceville, Snellville, Duluth, Johns Creek, Norcross, Decatur, Lithonia, Hapeville, Atlanta, Buckhead, Downtown, Midtown, Smyrna, Marietta, Kennesaw, Acworth, Lilburn, Stone Mountain, East Point, College Park, Stockbridge, McDonough,Cumming

***Counties: Dekalb, Fulton, Gwinnett, Cobb, Clayton, Henry, Rockdale, Forsyth

Qualifications:A Big Thinker may be a teacher, educator, actor, performer, scientist, childcare provider, student, or even a clown...all applicants are welcome as long as they:
*Have a very outgoing and FUN personality.*Have some college classes under their belt.
*Enjoy working with school-aged children (5-12 years).
*Are available 3-5 afternoons a week (usually between 2:00pm-5:00pm).
*Have the ability to teach and/or entertain/perform.
*Be engaging and able to relate science topics to children.
*Have a strong work ethic (responsible, dependable, punctual, etc).
*Have a dependable vehicle and cell phone.This is a mobile job!!!
*Be able to handle moderate lifting.
