Sanitation and Packaging - Sunnyvale Plant - Full-time

Sanitation Worker:
Full service sanitation worker that specializes in performing sanitation services at large food plants. Responsibilities would include cleaning production lines, silos, shipping and other areas of the facility including, but not limited to, manufacturing equipment, machinery, offices, break rooms, and bathrooms. Responsibilities:
*Will be responsible to disassemble and clean depositors, pumps, slicers, and other complex machines
*Washing of steam kettles, mixers, ovens, conveyors, tables, drains, and all areas in production
*Washing of small utensils, pans, and racks. This includes ability to operate the rack washing machine as well as the pan washing machine
*Sweeping and mopping of floors
*Will be responsible to use foamers, pumps, and steam cleaners for cleaning and sanitizing of the plant
*Maintain the overall cleanliness and sanitation of work area and equipment
*Completion of follow up and updates of sanitation schedules and inspection reports
*Communication of any significant sanitation or GMP issues and evaluation and recommendations for implementation any remedial activities designed to correct deviations from required standards
*Performs duties necessary to ensure completion of scheduled tasks on the Master Sanitation Schedule-this includes the cleaning of the bathrooms on a daily basis
*Work with associates to ensure GMP/Food Safety/Sanitation policies and procedures are effectively enforced
*Flexibility to perform other necessary tasks as directed by management and support production as needs arise

Requirements:
*Prior food and plant sanitation experience a plus, preferably in the Bakery Industry
*High School Diploma or GED
*Must be flexible with shifts and days off. Must be available on weekends if your schedule requires
*Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
*Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures. Gloves, hair nets, ear plugs, and uniforms are required
*Must be able to stand for long periods of time
*Must be capable of rapid movement to all areas of the plant.
*Must be able to climb stairs and fixed and portable ladders
*Ability to crawl under and climb onto machinery and equipment.
*Musts have verifiable attendance record
*Ability to frequently handle material from floor-to-shoulder and pushing/pulling/carrying
*Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate safety labels and orders
*Ability to constantly stand/walk and to frequently bend/flex/twist/squat
*Able to lift up to 50 pounds
*Ability to comply with all safety standards and regulations per company policy.

Hours:
Currently seeking swing and graveyard shifts, schedule is subject to change for training purposes. Upon completion of your training, our goal is to have a steady schedule for the employee.
