Spartan is currently hiring Groundskeeper positions located in and around Austin, TX area. This is a temp to hire position working Monday – Friday on 1st shift from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm, paying $8.00 to $8.50 per hour.

Job Description
• Mowing grass, trimming and edging around walks, flower beds and walls, pruning shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth, removing damaged leaves, branches, and twigs using mowers, tractors and other hand and power tools, following written or verbal instructions.
• Maintains and sharpens tools and makes minor repairs on equipment, as needed.
• Plants, fertilizes, waters and uses herbicides and insecticides to maintain grass, flowers, trees and shrubs.
• Provides general grounds maintenance including snow removal, spreading salt, picking up litter, raking, bagging and burning of leaves and the cleaning of drainage ditches and culverts.
• May repair fences, gates, walls, walks and outbuildings using carpentry, masonry and painting tools, lifting and moving equipment and supplies and wearing protective clothing as required by the work environment or government regulations.
• May perform other duties as assigned by a supervisor including supervising, training and coordinating the activities of other landscaping maintenance workers.

Job Requirements

• Valid drivers license class C
• Ideal candidate seeking a position with longevity
• Work in warehouse environment , in extreme climates, ( very hot to Very cold)
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, pus /pull, reach and lift 50 pounds, during entire shift
• Willing to submit to a background check and drug screen


Ideal Warehouse Associate Candidates
• Relevant experience preferred,
• Committed to safety at all times , work boots required
• Excellent attendance


Pay Rate: $8.00 to $8.50 per hour
Shift/Hours: Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 5:00 pm
