Job Description:
This position directs the transportation function, plans and coordinates the efficient pick-up, deliver and movement of customer vehicles to and from the Auction while providing quality service to Auction customers.
Job Responsibilities:
· Coordinate and direct safe and efficient transportation of customer vehicles to and from the Auction and other designated areas.
· Determine out standing pick-ups. Compile data and generate transporter and account aging reports for the department manager.
· Contact customers to determine vehicle availability, vehicle condition and to schedule pick-up and delivery of vehicles.
· Maintain and work closely with 3rd party vendors to ensure pick-up time is within the contractual time frame and keep updated records on transport companies and verify that each company meets all established insurance, safety and quality standards.
· Coordinate the data entry function of billing information to ensure accurate billing vehicle pick-ups and deliveries.
· Investigate and resolve damage claims to the satisfaction of the customer as well as the auction.
· Interact with customers to resolve potential problems and to develop new business. Assist in soliciting freight to increase business volume for transportation operation.
· Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required
  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • Experience in transportation or dispatch required.
  • Must be extremely detailed oriented and have excellent follow-up skills.
  • Good computer/software skills required.
  • Good Communication skills.
